Description: This training will help case managers to reimagine the ways they perform basic case management tasks and challenge them to integrate trauma-informed practices into their daily work with clients. It will be highly interactive, provide opportunities for group activities, and case managers will be encouraged to bring forth questions and scenarios. The training will begin with a general overview of trauma-informed care but will predominantly focus on the integration of trauma-informed care into practice.

Presenter: Mallory Price is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in a Private Practice in downtown Chicago where she specializes in providing trauma-informed and client-centered therapy to individuals and families. She primarily works with survivors of complex trauma, the LGBTQ+ community, HIV/AIDs community, and individuals with mood and personality disorders. Mallory has over 10 years of experience in social service agencies providing intensive clinical services to individuals experiencing homelessness and/or unstable housing. Prior to starting her practice, she was the Director of Residential Housing and Quality Improvement at Chicago House and Social Service Agency. While at Chicago House, she oversaw the implementation of trauma-informed care and harm reduction practices and policies in the residential programs and was instrumental in leading the COA accreditation process for the agency. Mallory holds a master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Chicago where she was a Point Foundation Scholar, as well as a bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Saint Mary’s College-Notre Dame.
