Description: Fair Housing: How the laws apply to Homeless Service Providers in Chicago
This 3-part fair housing series will equip homeless service and supportive housing providers with the knowledge and resources to:
• Ensure that their agency’s housing programs comply with fair housing laws.
• Educate their clients about fair housing requirements.
• Identify potential fair housing violations and connect clients to fair housing enforcement organizations.
• Advocate for their clients and work with private landlords.

Session 1 Details: During this session, we'll provide an overview of fair housing laws. We'll also discuss new state-level protections for immigrant households, housing protections for people with rental assistance and other non-wage income, and resources to support renters who face housing barriers due to their eviction records.
