Homeless Definition (HEARTH ACT)- 03.10.21

Description
This is a recording of a webinar that took place on March 10th, 2021.

Description: HUD published the final rule on the definition of homelessness in the Federal Register on December 5, 2011, which integrates the regulation for the definition of "homeless" and the corresponding recordkeeping requirements. HUD incorporated this definition into the Continuum of Care (CoC) Program.
The proposed rule was released and provided necessary clarification on terms within the statutory definitions of "homeless," "homeless individual," "homeless person," and "homeless individual with a disability" and contained recordkeeping requirements designed to assist communities appropriately document an individual or family's homeless status in the case file.

The training is recommended for anyone interested in learning more about the CoC's homeless definition, including intake staff, case managers, and non-homeless systems staff.
