Training Description: This training is for frontline staff and program managers who want to bring a coaching approach into their everyday work with families and individuals experiencing homelessness. This training explores the difference between coaching, case management, and advice-giving — and when each approach serves your participants best. You'll learn how to shift from advice-giving to coaching — asking questions that build participant confidence, support self-determined goals, and deepen the relationship. Topics include active listening, powerful questions, goal co-creation, accountability without shame, and Family Centered Coaching principles. Walk away with practical tools you can use in your very next session.
