Training Description: Families with children facing homelessness experience unique, interconnected challenges. Traditional case management often overlooks how housing instability affects both parents and children. A whole-family approach is essential to address immediate needs and promote housing stability. This training introduces best practices for a Two-Generation case management model, which supports both child and adult needs. Participants will learn strategies for providing housing case management to families and key community resources. Real-world examples and common challenges will be reviewed, and participants will identify actionable next steps for integrating this approach into their work.
Intended Audience: Case managers working with families in the Chicago CoC
Presenter: Laura Bass, Director of Coordinated Entry at All Chicago
