Description: Fair Housing: How the laws apply to Homeless Service Providers in Chicago
This 3-part fair housing series will equip homeless service and supportive housing providers with the knowledge and resources to:
• Ensure that their agency’s housing programs comply with fair housing laws.
• Educate their clients about fair housing requirements.
• Identify potential fair housing violations and connect clients to fair housing enforcement organizations.
• Advocate for their clients and work with private landlords.

Session 3 Details:This session will provide an overview of fair housing and anti-discrimination laws that ensure people with arrest and conviction records have a fair chance to secure a stable home. We will also discuss strategies for reducing housing barriers including sealing and expunging records.
