Just Housing Amendment - 03.26.21

Description
This is a recording of a webinar that took place on March 26th, 2021.

Description: The Just Housing Amendment protects renters with prior justice involvement from housing discrimination. It specifically prohibits outright housing denials based on convictions unless the provider can show through an individualized assessment that an applicant's recent conviction genuinely creates a threat to safety in the building. In this training, you will learn why the amendment is important and what is covered.

This training is presented by Charlie Isaacs of the Uptown People's Law Center. Charlie is committed to not only representing renters who experience JHA violations but also training others on how the law works, how to use it, and how to follow it.
